A literary element I found was logos, "Finaly, 'performance on the level of health' measures the effecintcy in which healthcare systems improve their citisens overall health. On this measure the United States drops to a lowly 72 in the world." This is an effective logos since it defines a quote and also provides statistics that create pathos (using words like "lowly" to create a disapointing & shocking mood)

In my reading there was a decently valid appeal of logos. In the book's documentation of an argument, the FDA countered a manafaturaing company that the medicine was unrealistic since they hadn't documented the other 6 months of the study, and that the dropouts of the study were important since in the real world buyers would simply stop buying. This is effective logos since the FDA includes statistics and comparison.

This book has prompted me to ask and wonder how many medical books are out there that distort the veiws' of doctors. The book also makes me question how much more effective older medicine is and the importance of natural remedies. I wonder these things since "Overdosed America" continuously lists how statistics are overlooked and hidden by drug companies.

I forgot to add;
I found this to be the best part of my reading since it made me feel as though I were a detective.

The best part of my reading was the bewilderment and realization me and the author had at the sheer lies medical assosiations had somehow managed to make look legitiment.

In my book, I found the claim that medical companys put most emphasis on medicine in their journals that they teach to doctors, and leave out the more effective nonprofit ways to help their patients for more money.

My unkown word was "intravenous." I predicted that it meant of great amount, but found it actually meant to take place within somthing.
