Pretty sick origin story.
A lot of corporate characters are being introduced, struggling to tell who is who rn but I doubt many of them will be relevant moving forward.
Art is solid for the 80’s but definitely dated - I struggled to tell what was happening during the action scene.
Excited to keep going.

Now Sunreach is done I can properly lock in on this one - 3 issues read today.
Vulture 2099 was a bit disappointing - cool design but negative aura.
Still loving Miggy but his brother Gabe is growing on me also.
Glad I’ve got the full omnibus to work my way through this year.

Not much to report tonight. Standard Spider-Man is critically injured but is pursued issue.
First glimpse at vulture 2099 though. Not sold yet will have proper opinions after tomorrow’s issue.

Rollercoaster of an issue and probably the best one yet.
I love how Mig is clearly inexperienced. He’s not just suddenly good at being Spider-Man but there’s an obvious learning curve, as shown by the fact he’s literally slit someone’s throat???
His one liners are something else though - “let me warn you. I know kung fu, karate and lots of other dangerous sounding words”

Loving Mig more and more with every issue I read.
The specialist is a cool enough villain - basically a coked up samurai.
Just the art letting it down in places, probably capping every volume of this series at a 4.

As far as origin stories go I’m really happy with it. Miguel is cold and I really liked his first villain Venture.
The futuristic nature of the action and 80’s art makes it really difficult to see what’s going on at points though which is taking me out of it a fair bit.

2/10 issues and part 2 of 3 of Miguel’s origin read.
I love Miguel. I know that’s no surprise to anyone but in case you need reminding. He’s so funny and witty so far.
Equally I love how much of a novice he is at being Spider-Man and the fact that his costume is literally just a day of the dead festival outfit.
The first rogue, venture has been introduced and he’s awesome.
