I have been wanting to read this series for a long time and stumbled across it in a bargain bin. I have a feeling this wasn’t the best one to read first. I loved the cheeky writing style and little asides, but found it hard to engage with the story itself, so didn’t (yet) manage to finish it. Maybe I should read one of the earlier ones? Not giving up, but not convinced.
