Orgies are mentioned. Sex/sexuality/fertilization in every paragraph. So much kisses, and breast kissing and womb kissing and phallic , and womb power, and fertilizing and sex rites and woman being literal altars...It feels like this isn't so much about witchcraft, but that I'm reading a weird kink book I didn't sign up for.

So is the Egyptian name Isis, or the Greek one, because this is confusing to me.

ah yes not Aphrodite/Venus, who you literally mentioned in this paragraph, but a so far unmentioned one, because everything has to lead back to the triple goddess.

Everything has to be sexual for these people. Everything is about fertility and pregnancy and fertilizing. Phallic objects everywhere, and everything that's even vaguely cylindrical is phallic. When people tell them this was the reason, they add: "But we must imagine it was also for fertilization.
Why? the people who did it told you why, but you just assume you know better, because to you everything is about sex.

1) not that clear, I wouldn't have gotten that
2) that sounds gross, and if I were the goddess I'd never visit that house again. sounds rapey and gross.

if that isn't a creepy way to describe the coming of spring I don't know what is.
