Feeling very ambivalent about Severin. On one hand, his notions of romanticism and “supersensuality” are very appealing, as are his sensitivity and worship-like love. However, on the other hand, he’s actually lunatic. He’s perverted (the protagonist of the most famous erotic novel is perverted? shocking.), confusing, and, honestly, annoying. Good for Wanda, I guess.

Saw this book mentioned a few times online, so I decided to pick it up.
The topic is very interesting, but trying to read Deleuze’s very academic analysis of the subject as someone who is both unacquainted with the nightmare that is Freudian psychoanalysis and is sooo sleepy is not working well. Nonetheless, I power through.
If all academic writing is like this, uni is going to be an experience!
