When Rinella is being a hunter the storytelling about the hunt and trekking/surviving in the Alaskan wilderness is great. When he’s trying really hard to be an author of a book throwing tons of random, pointless metaphors it seems like he’s trying to hard and is boring and difficult to read. The writing outside of pure storytelling reads like an 11th graders research paper trying to hit a word count.
