I gave this book a good attempt. The concept of the story is SO good, but...
A little over a quarter of the way in, and I still don't really feel invested..
I also can't ignore the terrible pacing simultaneously break neck and unbearably slow. So many tropes and plot conveniences and clichés. I'm sure this book is great for the right audience just... I'm not part of that audience, unfortunately.
