The villain is actually the former Flower Immortal, Hualing who was betrayed by Liwei’s dad. Xingyin literally had to kill the man she loves then revive him again after and Liwei has the AUDACITY to seem worried about Fengmei

Left myself on a cliffhanger after Wenzhi kills Governor Renyu. JESUS SO MUCH HAPPENED. First the merfolk attack the banquet and now our girl Xingyin is basically paralyzed after Renyu attacks her in the tent?? I LOVE WENZHI NOW LIKE OMG THAT FIGHT SCENE AHH. But praying for my girl. And Renyu was controlling the merfolk with magic? That’s low, very very low. He’s such a bum. Glad Wenzhi wiped him out

Our queen Xingyin is doing so good. First few months in Wenzhi’s army and she already killed Xiangliu. So proud of my girl. I love Wenzhi but I miss Liwei. Ofc something bad like that happens. End of part 1 and I’m guessing she’ll join the army, choosing to help her mom over staying with Liwei. And I can’t even be mad at Liwei because I get his pov. His parents pressured him and planned the engagement and Liwei believes that if he doesn’t secure this alliance with the Phoenix kingdom, he’ll be faking his own kingdom. BUT HE LOVES XINGYIN AH. Also love Wenzhi?

Wait why is this so good? I’ve had it on my tbr for the longest time but never read. I love Liwei omg. He’s such a kind soul. There’s a lot of enemies to lovers and male leads who are dark and broody nowadays and I don’t really like that. Liwei is soft and sweet. I LOVE HIMM AHHHHHHJSJJJSJSJSJJS AND HE’S HILARIOUS
