Y’all. I love it when I get a fantasy novel with unique world building and strong, flawed, acutely real characters. Who may or may not be falling in love. A fantastical magic system that feels like coding and engineering, with a fantastical dark academia setting and a plot that critiques the politics of academia and the biases baked into science like any institution. Sooo excited to keep reading
