I felt slow at first like I was grieving for Oyra. I would see rhain do things and recognize he was right and I would normally swoon but I was too sad for oyra to care. and I felt all of Rhain’s sadness of being back in the palace that tortured him - that was gut wrenching. But now that Miche is back it’s starting to feel more light hearted. And now that we’re seeing more of Vincent’s vicious side it’s easier to remember his earlier crimes in book 1 that make it easier to understand why rhain had to do what he did
