Helen Montgomery cannot get away lightly. Every possible punishment must be heaped upon her. The infuriating this is whenever the action draws near, the following chapter cuts to a different time and place! It is becoming unbearable. Perhaps the author wants the reader to the feel the same burning frustrations and anxiety that the protagonist’s are experiencing.

I don’t know how much more of Helen Montgomery’s wickedness I can bear. Is any truly so evil? This book is becoming exhausting. Cecile has not had a break for even a minute, and now, when it seems like the tides are finally turning, more scheming on Helen’s part is soon to follow! If she does not get her comeuppance in full force, I will be deeply disappointed!
