Just finished reading Wuthering Heights. For some reason I thought it was going to be a soppy love story but felt I had to read it as it was a 'classic'. How wrong I was. I was hooked very early on when it became clear that Heathcliff was a nasty, narcissistic/psychopathic figure and I wanted to see him get his comeuppance.
Throughout I was intrigued how Emily Brontë came to conceive of such villain. Loved it.
