I’ve picked up this book twice before, but unfortunately, it didn’t catch my attention, so it went back to the shelf. Let’s see if this gorgeous cover captivates me this time—third time’s the charm!

Omg this book is… everything!

when I came here, I never in my life expected that I’d find…” I trail off, desperately aware of how close I am to spilling my soul right here in my tiny office.
She leans forward almost conspiratorially. “What did you find, Ethan?”
A rough chuckle escapes before I can hold it back. “I found everything.”
“Tell me about everything.”

“It’s not too fast. I’ve waited my entire life for this. For you. This is what I want, if you’ll have me. I want to know what it feels like to go to bed with someone who wants me, with someone who I want. I want to know that being touched can feel the way it always has in my dreams. I want to lose myself in you until there is nothing else in the world.”

There is nothing other than the heat of Ethan’s body at my side, the rise and fall of his chest in my peripheral vision, and the fact that our fingers are so close together that all I’d have to do is shift mine over an inch and they would cover his. I don’t want to fall in love with him, but in this moment, it’s hard to convince myself that I’m not already too far gone to stop it.

Sandy Kay Have you read book 1? The things that didn't track between 1 and this book were what finally made me dnf, but, no one else seems to notice them. I'm curious if you will.

Ive read book one yes, maybe i can connect more because of that. Specially because of Ethan, who is tha son of one of the side characters. Blue is completly new here. 🤞

Exactly. I could not reconcile Ethan's back story and internal conflict, it wound up feeling manipulated for impact. Hope you get through the book, I want to see what you think!

Correct, it's not. But for me, some of the back story for book 2 that was set up in book 1 (which I read and reviewed) was ignored or not addressed in book 2, and I got frustrated and gave up. That's what I'm curious if you'll see the same, or have the experience everyone else seems to have reading it. I think I'm some weird anomaly?

Well let me finish and i will get back to you.
