Stumbled upon a scene so harrowing a few pages ago that I had to make the choice to close the book and stare emptily out of the dark window of my Metro seat for the rest of my 30 minute train ride. If you ever needed to know whether I have the strength to read something even slightly reminiscent of A Little Life, know I DO NOT.
