there’s nothing like a really good ghost story to start the day (i think i love margaret oliphant now)

pretty sure this short story is the first thing i’ve read of walter scott’s and omg is it a slog. getting into this story took me 3 tries and by the end i understood everything that happened… it was just walls of text though with the LONGEST sentences ever
