I'm now pretty worried that this is going to end on a deeply unsatisfying note. Given how little of the book I have left, I must surely be in the "Sanderlanche" but it honestly feels like things are moving along as sluggishly as the rest of the story. Maybe the final hours will pack a real punch, but as of now I think this might be disappointingly mid for me.

This one is tough. On one hand, I have enjoyed it for the most part and there have been some good moments. On the other, books this long need to have every single moment be excellent in order to justify the length and this is just not it. There's wayyyy too many side stories and the way certain things are written make scenes that should be epic feel more like an exposition dump. I hope day 10 turns things around.
