book’s finished, yay ig

kinda like 3 stars overall, idk. the first couple chapters were helpful but then it went into a different direction that i didn’t care for.

the last five or so chapters i literally didn’t even skim thru but whatever. GMC has so much more than i thought id get and i believe that book is more than enough

atp im js skimming thru cuz it feels that she’s talking abt conflict as a singular event, an actual fight. not as a prose technique, yk?
and i don’t wanna waste my time on it cuz it seems a bit useless at this stage

but it will take me to 56% so im def gonna read it today, just need a short break rn

might read 7&8 today and then start Ali?

this book, though, as good as it was when it started, is not as “!!(!$;$:$” as GMC! so GMC is still the framework. and from this one, i can just take types of internal conflict. nothing else is life changing so far

like i wanna read the third book just to get it out of the way and not read it later but also 😅

wait this book is fucking amazing oh em gee?? she talks about external conflict in a way i didn’t even consider considering omg ?? like there’s SO MANY WAYS TO CREATE EXTERNAL CONFLICT??? she talked about how setting can maximize the tone and the conflict and the theme?? LIKE WOWWWWW IM SO SPEECHLESS RN

and grateful too. cuz !!! i feel like this is a gold mine in the best way possible

helppp how am i at 14% already after having finished the first chapter. but hell, ill take it.

will try to get to 30-40% tmrw :) if i do that, i can def finish the book during this long weekend which is hell yes
