3.0. I enjoyed how this book focused on postwar as opposed to just wartime. It showed how challenging it was for people from many nationalities and religious identities to navigate their wartime decisions and to find a sense of home when the war ended. I wasn’t very attached to any of the characters but it was entertaining enough.
