I have no hope for humanity " - says Kim Eun-ho, but I felt that the author was trying to send a different message to humanity, to us all - to acknowledge, to learn and not to repeat such monstrosities again. Nobel prize-winning author for a reason! This is the 2nd Han Kang book I've read, and the power of the emotion she manages to evoke is the strongest I've felt from any writer.
