Abraham is called the father of faith; we see him walk (submits to circulation) but falters in his courage (passes Sarah off as just his sister twice); it’s often we fall walk in faith 9/10 but that 1 time we can fall on our face; it is a grace that we have sacrament of confession and that the heart of the Lord is mercy.

The Bible doesn’t tell us they did the wrong thing, they show us they did the wrong thing. Moabites and Amonites (the descendants of Lot and his daughters) become enemies of the Israelites. Just bc something is in the Bible doesn’t mean that it’s good but it doesn’t mean we can’t learn something from it. Book of Job raises the question: If God is just, why is there so much evil and why do good people suffer? Book of Job doesn’t answer the question. We are going on the journey with Job, enter into his suffering and let his questions be our questions. There is not an answer WHY but there will be an answer WHO.
