comparing South Korea and China and mentioning Tiananmen and the 1987 protests in S Korea as the South Korean government being unable to react with violence because they are not a party-state while completely failing to mention Gwangju, a student demonstration similar to Tiananmen and which ended up with hundreds or more killed by the state military, and which was in 1980, is. certainly a choice

quoting arendt when discussing whether or not china is a totalitarian state, not realising you are bound to fail here because according to arendt antisemitism is a defining factor of what turns a state totalitarian, but also not mentioning that arendt's model needs to be adjusted for non european contexts... hm
