Life in its entirety is the month of fasting for the God-conscious. And the celebration of their fast-breaking is the day they meet their lord, as was said [by the poet],

"I have fasted from all
The delights of my life
And the day I meet you is
The day I break my fast."

وَ قَدْ صَمَتُ عَنْ لِذَاتِ دَهْرِي كُلُّهَا
وَ يَوْمَ لِقَاكُمْ ذَاكَ فِطْرُ صِيَامِي
