I want to know the narrator's name and age because the writing style through the first couple chapters and just as I think we're about to find out the age of the narrator, du Maurier engages maximum trolling to hang us out to dry. There's a carefulness in how she restricts and constrains the reader's knowledge that makes for a cool story so far.
