Since I recently procured a beautiful copy of the Hans Christian Andersen book of Classic Fairy Tales (another Book Haul YT video coming soon ~ woohoo), I decided to pause in this fairy tale retelling of The Steadfast Tin Soldier until I could read the original.

I'm so glad I did. Adds so many more layers to this book. The original just about made me cry. I just hope I grow to like the MFCharacter more!
