Ups and downs, ups and downs! He did not, in fact, shut up about Scritti Politti but such sin is forgiveable given the wonderful music on display in the chapter.
If I had a nickel for every time Reynolds mentioned McCulloch's "magnificent lips" I'd have two which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice (and pages apart)

Possibly the most disappointing chapter of the lot so far? No greater insight was shared, no greater knowledge imparted. How can one gloss over monolithic bands such as Siouxsie and the Banshees and Bauhaus but drone on and on about fucking Scritti Politti and the like is beyond me.

Thank Christ he's finally gonna shut up about Scritti Politti!
