I really wanted to love this book but these phrases appear on every other page and it’s getting really tedious to read. Also, every Scottish character talks like an American. Most people don’t have to file taxes and we generally don’t have PTAs 🙃

So far I’m afraid to say this is really repetitive. There’s often two (sometimes three) similes to a sentence and the main character has a shiver down her spine every other page.
