I am woken up at seven in the morning by my father, him just turning the ceiling light on and taking my pillow out from under me then walking out of my room again. Yeah, he’s a man of few words, if you haven’t guessed.

I get home at around eight, and I’m hit with the fact I don’t have to go to bed early ‘cause school’s out.

Me who goes to bed at midnight even when I have to wake up for school the next morning 😚

He looks up from his paperback book with his warm, intellectual brown eyes in their full glory, unhindered by their usual glasses covering them. “You sure, Clair? I wanna see how long it takes before you snap.”
