150 pages in and I’m really struggling to get through this - can’t express how disappointed I am with this novel. Even though it was promised to read like a Ghibli film, the prose is so poor and the characters are woefully underdeveloped. This reads like a myriad of ideas strung tentatively together by an insta-love plot with no true storyline. Fighting to not DNF.
