I’ve never hated a chapter of a book, then I encountered chapter 3 of this book. The writing lacked punctuation, clarity, and simplicity. Just because this is an Edwardsian scholarship piece doesn’t mean you’re writing should be Edwardsian. The jargon was so esoteric, it seemed like he was writing to impress ivory tower scholars rather than implicate social transformation for a popular educated audience.
