Smith's ability to tap into the bridge between the internal and external worlds via a shared ephemera is a love letter to humanity in and of itself. I dream of writing as well as this woman writes. However, the pacing starting at the second section of the book feels languid from the amount of seemingly disparate recollections from her time spent in Chelsea. I have faith that all will be revealed shortly, though.
