Reading this feels like an endless cycle. It’s too complex and tedious to read in one sitting, but the characters are so interesting they keep popping up in my head every once in a while. Buy I can NOT finish this book for some reason. It’s been two years and I just wanna finish it finally!!!

Tedious but can’t let it go. Canetti’s complex character writing is one most male writers couldn’t even compete with if they tried, but as a result the book gets tiring. It’s so slow. So far it’s taken me a year to make it to the first half of the book, yet the inner worlds of the characters motivates to keep on reading.
