word... it's crazy to me how her male family members behaved in this scene. i feel like this book is playing with the prey v. predator power struggle and this scene most evokes that imo

Like it's no big deal cause a man, especially your father figure only wants whats best for you. We as woman have no autonomy. It's sick.
