Saint Orsola and the Poet (story): Very good story, love the interplay between story variations.

The Nightingale and the Rose (poem): Yay nightingale.

The Red Shoes (poem): Oh, the one with the shoes that make you keep dancing.

Red as Blood and White as Bone (story): Reread. First Goss I ever read. It's great.

Girl, Wolf, Woods (poem): Red Riding Hood, I guess.

In the Snow Queen's Castle (poem): Yeah, Snow Queen.

A Country Called Winter (story): I liked it, but Snow Queen retellings aren't my favorite, even with Goss's changes.

Conversations with the Sea Witch (story): Sea witch and the ex-mermaid have a talk in their old age.

Diamonds and Toads (poem): Is it a curse or a gift, I guess.

Medusa Gets a Haircut (poem): Nice poem about doing things for a man that you may not want to.

The Other Thea (story): Aimless young woman w/o a shadow goes looking for it.

Mother Night (poem): Going to Mother Night for something you want.

Tam Lin Remembers the Fairy Queen (poem): That's nice, I guess.

The Fairies' Gifts (poem): Yes, nice gifts.

Snow, Blood, Fur (story): A different take on Red Riding Hood, lots of wedding imagery, wolf vs. man.

When You Have Lost Yourself (poem): Yeah.

The Mermaid's Lament (poem): Sad she didn't save all the sailors.

The Mysterious Miss Tickle (poem): A shop run by a witch is a safe haven.

Lessons with Miss Gray (story): Some characters return from earlier stories. Girls take witch lessons.

The Witch-Girls (poem): Jealous of the witch-girls.

The Witch's Cat (poem): Talking about her familiar.

Pip and the Fairies (story): Daughter of children's author rediscovers Fairyland.

Christopher Raven (story): Four schoolgirls had an interesting shared dream experience about a poet and his lover.

Ravens (poem): I guess there are raven men like swan maidens?

The Fox Wife (poem): Got it, don't kill foxes or you'll lose your fox wife.

Reynalda (story): Prose version of "The Fox Wife"

Mr. Fox (poem): Not a Bluebeard, but a weird guy to marry, I guess?

Rapunzel (poem): Rapunzel sad.

The Sorceress in the Tower (poem): As the title.

Fair Ladies (story): Playboy gets a special mistress to set him on track.

Swan Girls (poem): A guide to swan girls.

The Gentleman (poem): Deal with it, lol?

The Bear's Wife (poem): I think it's a Goldilocks retelling.

Professor Berkowitz Stands on the Threshold (story): I'm as confused as the MC was.

Persephone in Hades (poem): Persephone/Hades retelling, I guess.

The Princess and the Peas (poem): Street-smart princess wins through to a new life.

Blanchefleur (story): Miller's son does a long apprenticeship with a talking cat. This was great!

In the Forest of Forgetting (story): An obvious metaphor (in part!) for cancer, but also I really loved it.

Autumn's Song (poem): Autumn personified.

Green Man (poem): Uh, she's in love with the Green Man, I guess?

Sleeping with Bears (story): Very fun story about a wedding between humans and the aristocratic bears of Virginia.

Goldilocks and the Bear (poem): Alternate take on Goldilocks, a fun retelling.

The Gold-Spinner (poem): A different take on the ending of Rumpelstiltskin.

Rumpelstiltskin (poem): Er, another different take on the ending of Rumpelstiltskin.

Singing of Mount Abora (story): An interesting parallel story relating to Coleridge's Kubla Khan

The Dragons (poem): The most FUN poem yet, damn, I want to share it with everyone (also why is it a poem?)

Thumbelina (poem): Someone really wants to be smol.
