"at this time Owen was still under-developed emotionally, his idealism, and a streak of the puritan acquired, perhaps, from his mother, holding him back from closer contacts with women." um are we like sure that the reason he didn't get close with women was because he was a puritan? are we positive mr love letters to siegfried sassoon had no other reason?? 🤔
