A great book, the fastest I've read through one in some time. It's not a book chock full of recipes with little stories in between but the complete opposite. Fay is a beautiful writer and does a nice job of inviting the reader into her intimate conversations with interviewees. This is for those interested in the history of a country's cuisine and it's people.
