these characters are so well written

another Morrison novel is extracting its toll on my brain. this is such a heavy read--there's so many symbols and illusions, but it's also such a tender read as well; generous, kind, and gentle--just like Pilate who's a character I already know I'll adore.

Think we might all benefit from that outlook...
