I like how this book made it clear that the higher the supply of labor relative to demand, the less likely it is for women to access waged employment (therefore staying at home). It makes sense that when there are fewer people looking for work, and employers need labor, they will "allow" women to join the workforce.

Never considered future generations to be considered a public good akin to natural goods

more of a personal gripe: I don't like it when authors say Marxian instead of Marxist. like yeah i get it Marxian is more "academic" language that retains its "neutrality" (as opposed to Marxist, which refers more to the movements and ideologies influenced by Marx). But if youre going to read or study Marx's theories, you CANNOT separate them from the movements/experiments that were influenced by his writings
