Set in a slightly different era when 4 children ages 6-13 can walk for miles along the coast of Connecticut, sleep in parks, buy food for supper for less than $2. These siblings, under the direction of the oldest, Dicey, work together and play together, always wanting to keep together. Their resourcefulness is amazing.
