Mixed feelings. With a work of such length, I managed to find parts that I loved and others that I loathed and still others that left me indifferent. I appreciated the lessons in compassion and being non-judgmental these flawed characters demonstrated toward each other.
The author is uncommonly gifted in remembering what it is like to be a little girl.
