I feel like so much of the main character's narration was me and my dreams as a teenager. To pursue an animation or similar creative career. The excitement and thoughts and feelings and rationalizations I would have made if I had the gotten an animation internship too. Fun to dream of another past life.

Enjoying the story so far! I thought it was YA but now I'm thinking it's leaning more adult. A little spoiler... The story so far kind of reminds me of modern day, mildly spicy Fourth Wing at the start, with a strong-willed girl fighting to excel in a professional training program with friends to enemies and enemies to lovers tropes.
