lovely. give me an example, if you wouldn't mind?

Courtney on p. 38:

"I have never understood who gets to invent words and why, but I'm guessing most words have been invented because of a need to express a new idea or as a name for a new discovery or invention. Laziness or convenience should not be on the list. Of course, that's only part of the problem with the phrase Google it.

Google is an Internet search engine tool and the name of a company; in other words, it's not a process by which a person can search the Internet. Besides, is it really that much easier to say Google it rather than to say Do a Google search or Search for that on the Internet?"

Remove stick. From. Ass.

Courtney Yep. Some things he says I agree with, but a lot of it makes me think, "Dude, get over yourself. There's the English POLICE, and there's the English GESTAPO."
