Thank goodness Oskar had the beans to prevent the disease epidemics. I also wish I remembered if they recovered all the goods that were hidden in the river. Emilie has such a hard marriage, but she has the sane kindness Oskar has. It's really nice to read about her contributions to keeping the enslaved prisoners alive.

Amon goeth was arrested!!!
It really makes me sad what happened to the women heading to Monrovia. What happened to the men was not good either, but it's sad they were in Auschwitz's.

It's taken 280 pages to finally get to Schindler's list. Let me tell you, I completely understand what it feels like to want a dictator to be ended along with all their cabinet.

It hasn't been as bad as I'd thought it would be. Although Oskar has very questionable morals, what he has been doing to save so many Jewish people. Not only him but the few others that saw what was happening was wrong and did the same. Anon Goeth needs to rot in hell.

With the state of the world and my country, reading this book is helpful. It's painful to read about the horrors these people faced, but their story needs to be told and read. I wish they all could be saved.

It's not been bad reading, but with less than 300 pages left I'm dreading the gut wrenching recount of what happened....but the board is set in the book and the pieces are moving.

I've only just started this book, but so far I like people who resist what is wrong and do what they can to make things right. Schindler seems to have compromised morals (adultery and drinking), but he knows the Reich is wrong and is working to get on the right side of history.
