Do you want something like BAB, or would rather go to the opposite direction? Honestly I feel like BAB will leave me a reader's block because I'm going to miss He Yu's level of obsession once I'm done...

i have no idea if something similar or completely different would be better tbh... but i think i just need something that will hook my interest from the beginning bc i can feel a readers block coming on
Hui Tian if you want an modern, action-packed, X-Men/Avengers vibe. Or Married Thrice to a Salted Fish for ancient China.
If you want modern p, I’d say you should read Run Wild. It’s so good and honestly really relatable(to me at least). But if you want something less modernized, I’d say read The Scum Villain’s Self Saving System or remnants of filth(which is really sad but it has a great story)
ive heard good things about hui tian... isnt it getting an official eng tl soon or did i just make that up? ill look into that one!! i think for married thrice to a salted fish im going to wait for the eng books to come out or at least the first one since i preordered it!!
you know i was thinking of starting run wild... i already read svsss its soooo silly lol but uhm i dont think im ready for yuwu... i cannot go through more pain and suffering rn i need a break from miss meatbuns evil ways
What about giving Meng Xi Shi's works a try? Thousand Autumns and Peerless are both some of my personal favs and I just love MSX's writing style! Qiang Jin Jiu is also a really good one, the first book is kinda slow but trust me after that it just keeps on getting better 😉

Just in case you want anything similar with the same level of unhealthiness with some (well written) OTT scenes that hooks you since the beginning, I would go for Shui Qian Cheng's books (if you haven't read them yet). Heads up though, most of her books are dark/heavy, some more than others, but if you're fine with that (it'd be good to check CWs/tags if necessary), then they'll be very fun to read. She usually includes some commentary underneath, so they're both entertaining and even clever readings.
ive been wanting to try her books!! but i wasnt sure if there was a specific order to read them in or like where to start 😭 do you have any suggestions?

BUT I did it all on reverse LOL. I started with Sissy, then followed with AI (both are connected), then Alpha Predator, then YOI. I still got to read the others and I never had an issue of not understanding whats going on because each one works as standalone and when some novels are interconnected (Sissy, AI, WTA), some of the events that involve the same characters are presented from another POV so you wont feel lost.
I think what would matter the most is how much redemption/change/groveling/chasing you want to read. Sissy is the one where there is a lot of chasing but not really a change. For AI, it does have groveling, for YOI, it has the best redemption that I've read so far. AP has good chasing. It also comes down at how dark you want to go, for ex. Sissy is the darkest one, then Alpha Predator, then AI = YOI are tied, and then the rest follow as less darkish iirc. All of them have HEA though, but a few arent the conventional one.
If you can handle anything, my favorite is Sissy, I loved how dark it was but its well written and while some events are OTT it shows a social commentary. Then I loved YOI for the groveling, it felt satisfying to see a fuckboy fall so hard lol. Then AI is great for the manipulation, and AP is awesome too for the omegaverse (the only a/b/o novel in the universe) although I felt it sort of falls apart during the last chapters imo. If you want to go even darker than Sissy's premise and prefer historical fantasy, then Wu Chang Jie (its SQC's darkest work) is for you, very long but I'm reading it and loving it.
Sorry that I rambled too much omg, but I hope this is helpful!
Not exactly sure what you have read but here are some that hooked me in the beginning or early chapters:mist - its an unlimited flow novel set in a futuristic setting. The characters travel through time to either collect data or try to clean up other timelines or locations that have been messed up. The mc and ml don’t like each other that much in the beginning, but their relationship slowly builds up. Theres one big misunderstanding between them, but it is actually really funny.
The Earth is Online - a black tower randomly shows up one day and everyone has to fight to attack to tower and to beat the set game. Also another unlimited flow novel
Breaking Through The Clouds - I am pretty sure it got licensed for an eng translation, so I am not sure if the fan translation is available any more. This was one of the first novels I read, so I am a bit unsure if i am being bias bc it holds a special place in my heart but I really did enjoy this one quite a lot. The mc was in an accident during a police operation in the past and was believed to be dead and the novel begins with him waking up three years from that operation. ml is also a police officer, but a lot more reckless and quite silly. You get to watch him run through loops for reasons to explain away all the times he is distracted by mc, it’s super funny! there is also quite a but of pain in the later portion of the novel if I remember correctly. The mc, Jiang Ting, is one of my all time favourite characters now!
Kaleidoscope of Death - another super interesting novel, I know quite a few people said they weren’t satisfies with the way it ended but I truly didn’t mind it. ml cross-dresses and mc is a cat dad! It’s a horror novel, although it really isn’t that scary, some doors(the worlds they go into) can just be a bit gory and some descriptions are quite detailed, so its not exactly something I would read while eating if your stomach is easily effected. Each door they go into was honestly quite interesting.
Restricted Area - I was a bit iffy to start this one originally, but I actually really enjoyed it. The way that they listed mc as a voyeur, I think I was expecting it to be a drastic degree, but it really isn’t bad. Also, the tension between the mc and ml is crazy,, their chemistry is through the roof! this one is a bit shorter, but I think given the novel it is the perfect length bc nothing drags out.
Anyways, not sure if you have already read all of these, but if not you could always check out novel updates to look at the tags and synopsis to see if you have any more interest!!
omg i LOVE horror and unlimited flow novels theyre my fav so i will definitely be looking into those more. i actually havent read any of these yet!! a few of them ive had on my list for quite awhile but i didnt know anyone who read them before so i was a bit nervous to start for some reason... i actually own the first vol of kod and i think both mist and eio are getting translations ??? i think i preordered eio... but honestly i think ive downloaded epubs for all of these of their fan tls in the past bc they all sounded really interesting!!! also please dont apologize!! this really helped!
