The deep blue eyes were startling. Speaking of distant lands and different times, they showed a past only told by the greatest storytellers. They were deeper than a gushing volcano full of lava, but they were softer than a rose petal. Blue eyes were common. I’d seen them a million times. But I’d never seen these.
