Reading the full book for the first time. I was very familiar with the abridged 2006 audiobook, and it’s delightful to see how much is filled in in this complete novel. I always loved the abridgment, and I appreciate it all the more for being able to streamline the story— but boy, was I missing out on the broader, deeper experience!
