The authors note at the beginning of the chapter makes me feel like I'm reading a fanfic, not a novella... Also, the definition of telling us "oh since XYZ they've hooked up and gotten closer..." instead of showing us. Like?? Why wasn't this just a full novel then?? Idk like I want these characters story/outcome but so far sad/disappointed in the execution of what could've been a beautiful full length novel
