It has some suspense but it seems just a little "corny". The names of the people alone have slowed me down (Dr. Saint, Baron Patience, Lord Dove, Lady Blessing, Mr. Nicely, etc. And the plan to condemn a hospital so they could build a fast food and dounut place next to a police station for the sole purpose that a police officer will eat there and have a heart attack is a little much to swallow. But I'm plodding on.

Heidi Those are their actual names? The plan is to get rid of a hospital to give police heart attacks? As many as possible or one specific officer? Seems to be a bit more difficult than just poisoning him or something like that. Hmmm...maybe I'll take this one off my to-read list. I'll be following your progress on this one.

Frank The story itself is interesting so far. Oh and the names even get worse. And they were just trying to get ride of one police officer. The problem I found is that this sort of think took away the credibility of the story and added nothing. But I wouldn't take it off your list yet. I know Kelli liked it so I think it will be fine. I just get tripped up with poorly thought out acts of the author and experiments in their writing.

Heidi It just seems like an awful lot of trouble to take out one person. No jail time maybe, but an awful lot of trouble. :)

Frank It is crazy to even present such an idea and especially in a YA genre book. It removes all credibility to the author and to the group he is writing about. But it is a side line and not the main thrust of the story. As I got further into the book last night the story is staying more with the main topic and it is interesting. I came away with the idea I was reading something that would be in Batman or that type of comic. But most of that was just in the early part of the book and is not so much in the the rest of at least the first half of the book.

Heidi Interesting. I'm glad that's not the main plot.

Frank I much further in the book and although the author is still coming up with names like Cap. Hope and Ms. Veracity the story has continued to improve and is actually very good. It's sad he had to mess up a good book with stupid names and an even stupider way to kill someone.

Frank Okay finished and Kelli was right it is a really good book if you don't get hung-up on the stupid stuff that only really appears in one chapter; although the poor use of names continues. It would have been better had they deleted that whole think about junk food to kill off a police officer.
