The Runaway Cell
Cancer is the second largest cause of death in America. While it’s believed inflammation and poor diet can lead to cancerous cells some people are just genetically more prone to the disease. Advanced screening is important because patients are more likely to survive if it is cause and treated early.

The Awakening
Sleep is highly important for longevity and it’s now believed that deep sleep helps clear out the “gunk” that can build up in the brain and cause Alzheimer’s. Darkness is key to deep sleep. Alcohol significantly impairs sleep, while it might lead to drowsiness it does not impart good sleep.

Putting Nutritional Biochemestry into Practice
Most diets don’t work because people can either not sit with them or they are inherently not sustainable. Protein intake is essential for building muscles but too much and it can lead to other problems. Carbs are important for energy but if you consume too much it becomes fat.

Nutrition 3.0
The shocking fact about nutrition is we really don’t know much. Most studies try to question large groups on what they ate in a past year which is preposterous that people could actually remember in finite detail for the study to be effective. These studies have led to the headline grabbing claims of alcohol is beneficial and 10 hazelnuts a day can increase your life by two years.

The Ticker
Heart disease is the number one killer in the United States. Treatment for heart disease really only starts once it’s too late. What if we could detect signs in our twenties and thirties and start prevention way earlier - would this in turn extend lifespan? Deep dives in cholesterol and how arteries become clogged.
