ngl, so far it's not going well. i wish i'd gotten an SA trigger in a more prominent place because that took me aback and ruined my evening and i had to stop reading because if made me feel gross. and it was handled so weirdly. but mostly i'm not vibing with this because it feels like a "feminist" book that was written for a kid or someone who has no concept of real feminism and this is their 101.

Yes!!! That scene traumatised me for the rest of the day and I was furious about the lack of a trigger warning because w t f. It was horrific. I didn't get the hype of this book, I thought both MCs were Mary Sues born yesterday, it felt too plot-driven where it should have been character driven and her lack of self awareness/soical skills felt ingenuine after a certain point. I agree on the performative feminism, too. Basically sat here questioning my 3 stars 😅
