This is beginning to read more and more like a term paper. Author makes an assertion then provides a short story to support the statement. Not a bad way to organize, just not inspired. I am enjoying reading about the mindset and coping skills/mechanism required for an endurance athlete and/or the partner of an endurance athlete.

Chapter 1 was about various women's perceptions about the importance of being feminine while running and training. The definition of feminine seems to vary but its importance seems to be universal.
